Sadly on the basis that major high street banks do not encounter either Enduring Powers of Attorney or Lasting Powers of Attorney on a regular basis they do not respond appropriately.
They can ask donors who now lack capacity to sign documents or ask to see original documents rather than accepting correctly solicitor certified Powers of Attorney.
